AS Student Joins 10-day Visit Program to Japan

Ninety-two students from different high schools, colleges and universities from all over the Philippines along with 8 supervisors from both the private and public sectors of the society were selected as delegates to the Japan East-Asia Network Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme 2010 held last April 20-29. Among them was Arman Carl Dulay, a BS Biology Student of St. Mary’s University, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya

The JENESYS Programme, funded by the Japanese Government in partnership with the ASEAN Secretariat, is a 10-day visit program to Japan which aims to deepen understanding of the different facets of the Japanese society including politics, diplomacy, economics and culture and to form the basis of future vision and construct firm solidarity among Asian countries which will promote mutual understanding of the future generation of ASEAN and East Asia Summit member countries.

The program was conducted through school visits, university exchange, environmental studies and a 2-3 days homestay experience with a Japanese family.
